The Pella Christian Football squad finds themselves in an unfamiliar spot this week: coming off of a loss. Following a 28 – 14 setback at the hands of Ogden Friday night, Eagles head coach, Rich Kacmarynski said that his team just needs to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and take care of business for the next game. “I think we need to be honest with ourselves and realize that we didn’t play our best ball,” Coach Kacmarynski told KNIA/KRLS Sports. “I think what we need to do is get back to the drawing board. That’s the encouraging thing is that we go back to work and get back and play some football that we know we’re capable of, I think all of goals are still in place.” The Eagles control their own destiny in Class 1A District 7 in the sense that if they win their final three games, which includes a regular season finale with current district leader, Mount Ayr, they will come away with the title and put themselves in a good position to make it to State. The Eagles next game is their final home game of the season, in a match-up against a 4 – 2 Van Meter team.
