Pella Volleyball Invitational Recap

A plethora of local volleyball teams were in action at the Pella Invitation Round Robin tournament Saturday. Pella led the field as far as local teams are concerned, going 4 -1 on the day, with sweeps over Knoxville, North Mahaska, PCM and Greene County, before falling to Mediapolis, who went a perfect 5 – 0 on the day. Knoxville also had a strong showing; going 2 – 3 with two-set victories over PCM and North Mahaska, while PCM was 1 – 4. The four win day for Pella pushes their record over .500 for the year, to 16 – 15. Knoxville is now 10 – 18, while PCM has a record of 6 – 12. Pella will be traveling to Newton Tuesday for a road game, Knoxville will be at home Monday to host the Pella Christian Eagles, and PCM will be at Colfax-Mingo Tuesday.
