The Pleasantville Trojans can walk off the gridiron with their heads held high and in fifth place by coming away with a win tonight at home against English Valleys. The Trojans have won two straight after dropping their first six contests on the season, and finishing right behind the top dogs in Class A District 6 would be a great cap to the season for coach Gabe Bakker and his team. Pleasantville’s head coach told KNIA/KRLS sports that it is not going to be an easy game for his team; English Valleys does not have a listed quarterback on their roster. The one that is listed with at least some passing statistics is Austin Huber, who has only attempted 68 passes. Bakker said that it’s no secret that their opponents are going to run the ball, and if his guys can stop their ground game, they’ll be finishing their 2012 season with a three game winning streak, which would do wonders for the morale of their team heading into next year. Tonight’s game is streamed live on kniakrls.com. Kris Krug and Bob Miller will be giving you the call with the blow-by-blow action starting with pregame at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at seven.
