At approximately 7am Wednesday morning the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen reporting a vehicle in the ditch in the 1300 block of 250th Avenue. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded, and located the vehicle, which had Paranormal Investigation Services on the side and an open door. Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office was able to locate a woman, Rae Hughes, 42 of Pella, outside a nearby abandoned farmhouse. Hughes had been stranded since approximately 9:30 pm and spent the night largely unprotected from the elements, which hit a low of 32 degrees. The Pella Ambulance responded and transported Hughes to Pella Regional Health Center to be treated for exposure. She is reported to be in fair condition. KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information when it becomes official.
