For the first time since 1980, the Central Men’s Cross Country team will be headed to the NCAA Division III championships. The Dutch finished second to host St. Olaf College at the Central Regional championship this past Saturday by a score of 75 – 70. The women finished 12th. The Dutch men took home five all-region medals, highlighted by Eli Horton for his second place finish in a time of 25:30. Cole Decker finished third, Drew Jackson was 19th, Austin O’Brien was 21st, and Brent Ewing finished in 30th. Both St. Olaf and Central earn automatic bids for the national tournament which takes place next Saturday in Terre Haute, Indiana at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The men’s race starts at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
