Heading into their final days of preparation before opening up the season against A-D-M on Friday, the Pella High Little Dutch basketball team will have certain expectations out of their starters and their positions. Head coach, Mark Core, told KNIA KRLS Sports, he’ll be giving the “green light” to some guys on the court to shoot the ball from the perimeter, while his other guys in the post and up front will be expected to rebound. Last season, the Little Dutch led the Little Hawkeye Conference in rebounds per game and offensive rebounds, as well. The Tigers of A-D-M are coming off a 21 – 4 season, where they also led the Raccoon River Conference in offensive rebounds. Both teams will play Friday night in a girls/boys doubleheader that will be aired live on 92.1 FM KRLS.
