Forcing a couple early turnovers and four total on the day, the Central football team was unable to stay in stride with Coe, falling in the regular season finale, 34 – 13 on Saturday. An early fumble and interception turned into just six points on the board for the Dutch, on two long field goals by Kevin Sheldon. The two teams traded touchdowns to make it a 13 – 7 Central advantage early in the second. Coe would score twice to finish out the first half and twice more in the final 30 to get to the 34 – 13 decision in favor of the Kohawks. Saturday’s game was the last for 19 Dutch seniors, who finished with a 6 – 6 record.
