Coming off their first real action of the season…which was a 29-all tie to Lynnville-Sully in the Montezuma Jamboree on Friday, the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad now has some idea of what it needs to work on and what area the Panthers are strong in. One area that Coach Jeff Larson was pleased with was the effort that all of the players gave. He was also pleased with the end of game action when Gerrit Davis canned a three point shot to tie the game with :20 remaining and then the guys played well defensively not letting the Hawks get off a good enough shot to win the two quarters of play. Larson did say that the guys need to box out better as they were out-rebounded by a wide margin. Knoxville will have today to polish up before the season starts for real tomorrow night in Albia. You can hear that game and the preceding girls game live on AM 1320 KNIA starting at six.
