Knoxville is also getting ready to kick off the holiday season. Living Windows and the Lighted Parade take place tomorrow evening beginning at 5:30 in downtown Knoxville. The theme this year is “A Musical Christmas,” something Chamber Director Larissa Van Donselaar says should inspire many creative storefronts. The Big Red Radio will be providing Christmas music throughout the event on Thursday, and people can also donate food for the KNIA/KRLS Food Drive. The parade begins around 7:30pm, with both Santa Claus and the Lil Big Red Radio making appearances. On Saturday and Sunday, the Marion County Historical Society will host the Festival of Trees at the Historical Village. That runs from 1-5pm both afternoons. Attendees can donate toward their favorite themed Christmas tree. Those donations will then be given to Red Rock Community Action to help with their holiday season giving.
