Fifty-three was the magic number for a victory last night in Gilbert, as the PCM Mustangs’ girls basketball team fell 53 – 31 to Gilbert, while the boys came away with a 53 – 50 victory in the nightcap. PCM boys’ head basketball coach, Fred Lorensen, told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that his team was a little shaky to begin the 2012-13 season, but it was a good win for his team. Three players were in double figures in points for PCM, and leading the way for the Mustangs’ boys was Michael Neff contributing 16 points, Dillon Bruxvoort added 12, and Ethan Kain had 11. The PCM girls are 0 – 2 on the year, while the boys are 1 – 0, and each will be playing in a girls/boys doubleheader at home against neighbor Knoxville tomorrow night in a game to be aired on AM 1320 KNIA.
