The PCM Mustangs girls basketball team finished last season with a 13 – 10 record and had they had some breaks go their way, it could have been a lot better. Mustangs head coach, Bret Grier, said that the focus on practices these first couple of weeks has been executing, which was why his team struggled so mightily down the stretch of games last season. Grier told KNIA/KRLS Sports that part of what goes into the executing is having the starters and the leadership back on the court this season. The second-year head coach also said that his girls really hit the gym in the off-season with a strength and conditioning program that has really paid dividends so far in practices. The Mustangs girls will get their first taste of action when their season tips off at home against Nevada this Tuesday.
