Twin Cedars Sabers head boys basketball coach, Alan Stewart, made it clear to his guys in practice he wants them to have fun this season, but he also wants them to succeed and work hard at the same time. The Sabers made it to round two of districts and posted an 11 – 13 record in 2011-12. Stewart said that his kids have listened to everything he has said and all of his athletes are getting along and playing like a unit over their first full weeks of practice. The Sabers head coach also told KNIA/KRLS Sports that all of his players have the “greater good” mentality, meaning they don’t care who scores, just as long as they score and are taking care of the basketball. Twin Cedars’ boys will open up their basketball season with two tough road games; at Wayne on Tuesday and then travelling to Murray for a Friday night Bluegrass Conference matchup.
