While the Knoxville girls Cross Country Squad did not get any state qualifiers to Fort Dodge…the girls did get valuable experience in not only running in big meets…but also leading the team. Lydia Anderson was the only senior on the varsity squad, however Coach Mike Moats said many of the underclassmen took on leadership roles as well. Courtney Hughs was the leader on the courses this season bettering her time in nearly every meet. Moats says right now the goal for the offseason along with training, is to get more girls out for cross country. He adds low number was something that may have held his team back.
