It’s a road trip to Minnesota tonight for the 6 – 3 Central men’s basketball team, as they’ll be playing in their final game on the 2012 part of their schedule. Their final obstacle before a lengthy Christmas break for the Dutch is Martin Luther, who just recorded their first win of the season over Saint John’s. The Knights are 1 – 6 and have had problems scoring points, scoring over 70 points only twice this year. The Dutch men won a nail-biter, a 79 – 77 victory over Bethany Lutheran this past Saturday, a game that saw them take several double digit leads in the second half, only to have the Vikings sink clutch threes to get within one in the final seconds. Head coach, Craig Douma, wants to see his guys play better defense down the stretch and box out on rebounds. Tonight’s match-up tips off at 7:00 p.m.
