Thanks to five Dutch men in double figures, the Central men’s basketball team coasted to victory in the second half over Martin Luther, 82 – 58. Central closed the game on a 29 – 6 run thanks to some hot shooting at the right time. The Dutch shot over 41 percent from the perimeter in the second half. Matt Greenfield had another big game, scoring 17 points along with teammate Branden Stubbs, while center Jacob Winkler added 16. Central ended their 2012 portion of their schedule with a 7 – 3 record and a three-game winning streak. The Central men are now off until January 5, when they begin Iowa Conference play at Coe.
