Having nearly two weeks off, the Central women’s basketball team is back in action tonight to host St. Scholastica of Minnesota.
The Saints will be the third UMAC school that the Dutch women have faced this season, having already defeated Crown and Bethany Lutheran earlier this year. Nicole Strasko and Kalli Richardson have been the powerhouses on offense for the 6 – 3 Central women, scoring a combined 25 points per game on average, and the Dutch as a whole are 13th in the nation in rebounding margin, grabbing 12 more boards than their opponents on average. The Saints are 3 – 6 at this point, and after losing their first five games, have won three of their last four contests. Tonight’s matchup between the two schools tips off at 3:00 p.m. in Pella.
