The Marion County Conservation Board will be offering curb-side pickup of Christmas trees next week in Knoxville. The pickup will take place next Wednesday from 8am-noon. County Naturalist Marla Mertz says that trees in this pickup will be used for wildlife cover and fisheries habitat in Conservation board areas. She says one example includes dropping those trees to the bottom of Robert’s Creek. All trees must have decorations and items removed before being placed on the curb. Trees may also be dropped off at the designated area near the entrance to Marion County Park until January 15th.
