The Knoxville Bowling Squads fared well in Saturday’s Newton Invitational. The boys had an air tight battle with the host Cardinals with Newton coming out on top by four points 2,502-2,498. Sam Piagentine led the Panthers with a 404 series in two games. On the girls side, Knoxville had its best finish of the season as a runner-up to Newton. The Panthers amassed 2,176 points to Newton’s 2,453. Leading the way for Knoxville was Rachel Morgan with a two-game total of 303. Knoxville will be off until January fifth when the Panthers return to Newton.
