One additional thing to this year’s Coaches vs. Cancer Day at Knoxville High School is everyone player on Knoxville and Chariton’s basketball squads will get to list someone they would like to play for. Knoxville Girls Coach Jim Utiermarkt says it is a way for the players to get even more involved and have someone they to honor in their personal way. Before the games, both Knoxville boys and girls squads will honor someone who is battling or has defeated Cancer to induct their Coaches vs. Cancer Hall of Fame. Utiermarkt says they are still working on who they will honor.
