The Pella Christian boys’ bowling team dropped back a little bit at the Newton meet after a strong performance last week. The host Cardinals finished tops again at their own event on the boys’ and girls’ team side of things, Knoxville’s teams finished second, while the Eagles’ squads were fifth. The Panthers’ boys were only four pins behind first place Newton, while the girls had a solid second place finish. Knoxville’s Sam Piagintini had the highest two game score of the lot, with a total of 404, while fellow Panther, Jake Steele was third with 355. The Little Hawkeye Conference bowling teams can rest for a while, as the next meet isn’t until January 5, again in Newton.
