Just before 5am Monday morning a house fire was reported in Pella. The fire at 1547 Terrace Drive left much of the home destroyed. The home is owned by Roger and Linda Hugen.Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkum says that the fire likely started in the garage. The garage of the home was completely burned to the ground. The parts of the house connecting to the garage were damaged by the fire and water and the rest of the home has smoke damage. Van Gorkum says many of their personal belongings and even their Christmas presents were saved. The Pella Ambulance and Pella Police Department also responded to the scene.
