Two members of the Knoxville football program will take part in next summer’s Shrine Bowl. Linebacker Aaron Crossett is the first Knoxville football player to take part in the game since 1997. Head coach Troy Rider will also be in Cedar Falls as part of the South Squad’s coaching staff. The game will take place in July at the UNI Dome. It’s held annually to raise funds for Shriners hospitals across the state.
