The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad fell to Oskaloosa last night 58-38. The Indians broke the game open between the first and second quarters on a 14-2 run that put them up by 16 points by halftime. The Indians would stretch that to 29 on two occasions in the second half before Knoxville closed the gap to the final margin of 20 points. Saddled with foul trouble all game, Ashley Hawkshead managed to led the scoring for the Panthers with seven points. On the boys side, Knoxville made more progress but still could not get that first win as the Panthers fell to Oskaloosa 65-58. Osky led by nine at the end of the first half and jumped out to a 15 point lead in the first minute of the second half and threatened to break the game open. But Gerrit Davis drained a three to get it back down to 12 and the Indians never led by more than 12 the rest of the way, even holding on in the last minute when Knoxville cut the lead to three.
