For the fourth straight year, the Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department is collecting cash and gifts for families in need during Christmas. Knoxville Township Rural Fire Chief Kenny Thompson says the department wants to help bring joy to those in difficult situations during the holidays. They’ve adopted four families in Knoxville Township for Christmas. You can help by dropping off toys and other gifts at Motor Inn, Hy-Vee, Knoxville Farm and Home, and Thompson Shell. You can also drop cash donations off at Hy-Vee and Thompson Shell. Collections will occur until December 23rd.
