The Knoxville Wrestling Squad is on its winter break from matches for the next couple of weeks. Coach Ron Peterson’s squad is eight-and-four in dual meets and in the only traditional meet of the season the Panthers finished runner-up at the Newton Invitational. Peterson says the guys are improving, and he feels that he still has not put the best combination on the mat. He says guys like Colton Spaur, Aaron Crossett and James Stittsworth are getting off to outstanding starts, add to that younger guys like Skylar Schloterback, and Jac Agan have been excellent additions to the varsity squad. The Panthers’ next time on the mats will be January fifth at the P-C-M Invitational.
