The Knoxville Squad would finish with a 3-1 record at the 2012 Red Owens Holiday Tournament yesterday. The event had a somber tone as it was the first time the Red Owens Holiday Tournament had been conducted since the passing of Owens back in November. Knoxville would beat Des Moines Roosevelt 48-34, Cedar Rapids Jefferson 40-36, and Des Moines East 46-33. The Panthers only loss was to Class 3A top ranked Southeast Polk 65-6. Knoxville is now 8-4 in dual meets and concludes its varsity schedule for the 2012 portion of the season. The next time on the mats for the Panthers will be the P-C-M Invitational on January fifth.
