After a demolishing of Carlisle on Tuesday, the Pella High girls’ basketball team had maybe their most impressive outing as far as passing the ball and “looking up” are concerned. Head coach, Jerod Garland, said that his girls are finding the open players a lot better and are connecting and timing their longer passes down court a lot better than they were earlier in the season. Pella’s doubleheader at home versus Grinnell was cancelled due to the school closure on Friday, and their make-up date is January 10. The Lady Dutch finished the 2012 part of the schedule with a 2 – 5 record, and will play their next six games against Little Hawkeye Conference opponents when they come back from the holiday break.
