The Corps of Engineers Office has been presenting their Master Plan for the next 25 years of Lake Red Rock to residents of Knoxville and Pella over the last two days. Junifer Kruse, a Park Ranger at the Lake, says that they are focusing on three area, environmental stewardship, recreation, and connecting those two. She says the turnout was good. It’s not the kind of event where hundreds of people show up, but those who did come stayed for a long time and were very interested in the proposed projects. She says they will still be working on the plan through summer next year and hope the public will continue to provide them with input.
