The PCM boys’ basketball team is 7 – 0, while the girls just got back to 4 – 4, and each will be playing a sub-.500 team tonight as C-M-B heads to Monroe for a pair of games. The Mustangs’ girls have put together their first winning streak of the season and are looking to make it three-in-a-row against the Raiders’ girls, who just won their first game of the season over Greene County last Friday, a team that beat the PCM girls earlier in the year. Head coach, Bret Grier, said that his team is not very “deep” at the moment, and a recent injury to senior Kaitlyn Wilkie, they don’t have a lot coming off the bench. The Mustangs’ boys are riding on cloud nine at the moment, and after almost succumbing to a late scare by Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday, head coach Fred Lorensen and his guys will be taking on a 2 – 4 C-M-B team that has had its problems on the offensive side of the ball. The Raiders shoot just over 50 percent from the free throw line and 38 percent from the field. The game could come down to rebounds, mainly on the offensive side, as both teams are fairly even; grabbing an average of 30 boards each contest. Tonight’s contest between the Mustangs and Raiders tips off at 6:00 p.m.
