Marion County Closures for the New Year’s Holiday

Pella city government offices will close on Tuesday for the New Year’s Day holiday. The Pella City Council meeting, normally held on the first Tuesday of the month, has been moved to Wednesday in observance of the holiday. The Pella Public Library will close at 5pm on Monday and will remain closed on Tuesday. Leighton State Bank will close at 4pm Monday, and Marion County Bank will close at 2pm. All city offices and the library will reopen with normal hours on Wednesday.

In Knoxville, government offices will remain open for normal business hours during New Year’s Eve. That includes Knoxville City Hall, and County offices, and the Clerk of Court Office as well. The Knoxville Public Library will be closing at 3pm on Monday. The Knoxville Recreation Center will be closing at 5pm. Iowa State Savings Bank and Wells Fargo in Knoxville will remain open for regular hours, but Valley Bank will close at 2pm. All those locations will remain closed on Tuesday.
