Off to a scorching 4 – 0 start to their season, the Twin Cedars Sabers’ girls basketball team will be playing their next five games at home. Head coach, Justin Nolte, told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that his girls haven’t been playing the best basketball the last few games, but they’re winning, which is the statistic that everybody looks at. Following their 40 – 30 win over Wayne last week, the girls were not happy with how they performed. Nolte said that that only means that his girls are “bought” into this season and want to see the team succeed as a whole. The Sabers’ should have a seemingly easier time in their game this Friday, as they’ll be hosting Lamoni, a team that has a record of 2 – 3 on the year, and in each of the three losses, were held to under 20 points. The girls’ game will tipoff at 6:15 p.m. Friday evening.
