Special Olympic Athletes Participate in Bowling Tournaments

A number of kids recently participated in Special Olympic Bowling Tournaments. Coach Maureen Schletzbaum says that they all did very well at the regional tournament. Five athletes then moved onto the state competition in Des Moines last month. Cameron Cross earned a gold medal, Marissa Schletzbaum earned a bronze, Michelle Turnage placed sixth, and Ben and David Heywood earned a bronze in the unified division. Schletzbaum thanks Fairlane Bowl for allowing space to practice. Regional Tournament results and more photos can be found below.
