The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved the closure of a portion of 65th Avenue in northwest Marion County on Monday. It’s part of the process of turning over some land and roads near the lake to the US Army Corps of Engineers. The board also chose to approve the first reading of a new excessive vehicle noise ordinance. That ordinance would prohibit retarder brakes from being used in the county.
