The Hobbit is a Tradition for Melcher-Dallas Students

[1]A movie opening this weekend should be very familiar to those who grew up in one Marion County community. Melcher-Dallas fifth grade teacher Mitch Fortune has been reading The Hobbit to his students for the past 33 years. He first read the J.R.R. Tolkien novel in college and says he enjoys becoming the characters annually for his students. The film version of the book is expected to top the box office this weekend.
