Following a narrow four point loss to Dallas Center-Grimes on Friday, the Pella High girls’ basketball team made big strides in breaking out of their recent funk. Lady Dutch head coach, Jerod Garland, told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his girls did a great job of pushing the ball ahead and getting easy baskets on the fast break. Garland also mentioned how his girls possibly played the best game of the season so far against DCG. His team had several chances to put the game away early and even take the lead back late, but the Lady Dutch were unable to shoo away the pesky Fillies. The Pella girls’ record is now sitting at 1 – 5, and they’ll travel to Carlisle to play next on Tuesday.
