Rachel Evans also had 12 points, while Alyssa Henrich had ten big points off the bench. Buena Vista’s and Central’s men kept trading leads back and forth in the first half, but the Beavers pulled away with an 84 – 80 victory. Buena Vista had an 11 point lead in the second half at one point, but the Dutch stormed back with an 11-0 run to take a lead late but couldn’t hang on. Four starters were in double figures for Central, with Jacob Winkler and Matt Greenfield each throwing in 18 points apiece. The Dutch women are now 9 – 8 the season while the men drop to 9 – 7, and each team is 2 – 4 in the Iowa Conference. Central doesn’t have much time to rest, as they’ll head to Simpson to play the Storm tomorrow evening.
