Already matching last year’s win total in their first ten games, the Central women’s basketball team will look to over-eclipse that in one final tune-up today at Monmouth before their Iowa Conference schedule starts on Saturday. The Dutch women are riding their longest winning streak in quite some time, having won their last four contests, and boast one of the best rebounding margins in the country in Division III. Central’s record is 7 – 3, and they will be visiting a Monmouth squad who just had their ten-game winning streak broken up by Cornell last week. The Fighting Scots’ strength is their offense; outscoring their opponents by an average of almost 12 points per game, while shooting 45 percent from the field and nearly 35 percent from long distance. This afternoon’s game in Illinois tips off at 4:00 p.m.
