The Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer night will have an extra-special meaning for one of the members of the girls basketball squad this year. Senior player Kassi Griggs will see her grandmother honored in between games during the survivor ceremony. Griggs says her grandmother went through a lot in her battle with Cancer, and learned a lot about herself. Each player on the boys and girls squads will be playing for someone who is either battling, has survived or lost the battle with cancer in Saturday’s games. Those will be listed in the game program. Activities at Knoxville High School get underway at 10:30 with the silent auction.
