PCM basketball teams wrap up their mini-home stand tonight, playing Greene County for the second time this season. Tuesday was a successful evening for both Mustangs’ squads, sweeping Gilbert out of their gym, and for the PCM girls’ team, got their record back to even at 6 – 6. PCM is currently in fifth place in the Heart of Iowa Conference with a 5 – 5 record, and Greene County is right above them in fourth with a 7 – 3 mark. Coach Bret Grier is looking for more rebounding out of his girls, who only pulled down 17 in their win Tuesday. His team is also looking for a measure of revenge as they dropped a one point contest earlier in the season 46 – 45. Meanwhile, according to some of their starters, it has been defense that has helped propel the PCM boys’ team to an 11 – 1 record at this point in the year. The Mustangs won the earlier contest 47 – 31 in the third game of the season, and will be looking for similar production out of their defense tonight. The Heart of Iowa doubleheader tips off at 6:00 p.m.
