The Pella City Council held a special meeting last night to discuss water source options for the city. Representatives from Howard R. Green talked about future sources for the city and presented two plans. The first plan involved a new well in the Jordan Aquifer as well as a new reverse osmosis treatment option at the water treatment facility. That plan would handle the city’s water needs for around 20 years at a cost of nearly 10.8 million dollars. The other option presented improves the city’s lime softening filters and would extend the need for a reverse osmosis system for several years.
