It was kind of a rough night for the Pella High wrestling team, finishing 15th out of 16 teams Saturday at the Centerville Invitational. Little Dutch head coach, Joe Burch tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that Jake Speltz was a warrior on the mats, trailing in just about every match but battled back each time, and eventually finished fourth. Speltz wrestled the eventual winner in the 145-pound weight class, and fell in the third place match 12 – 8 after being down 7 – 1. Levi Azinger at 120 pounds had only one loss and finished fourth, having to forfeit his third place match due to an injury. Chase Petty lost in OT and finished fifth at 126. Next up for the Little Dutch wrestling team is a triangular home dual meet on Tuesday at 6:00 versus both Centerville and Osceola-Clarke.
