Tonight’s doubleheader between both Pella and Pella Christian has a lot more meaning than what’s reflected in the standings. It’s the annual Coaches vs. Cancer game, and it’s Pella’s turn to host this year’s benefit. The Lady Dutch have been nothing short of exciting lately, coming off a pair of overtime wins over Oskaloosa, and most recently, Grinnell this past Friday. Lady Dutch head coach, Jerod Garland, said that with all of their strong play the last handful of contests, tonight’s game could very well be another one that goes down to the wire. Pella’s girls enter with a 7 – 9 record while the Eagles are 13 – 3. Pella Christian’s boys have won their last six contests, as their offense has found the consistency it had at the beginning of the season. The Little Dutch couldn’t find the touch on Friday, losing to a stacked Grinnell squad 70 – 54. You can catch all of the drama and excitement of tonight’s doubleheader on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live on kniakrls.com as Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema call the games. The pregame show starts immediately following Focus on the Family at around 6:00 p.m.
