The Pleasantville Trojans’ boys’ basketball team took another step towards perhaps a two-seed in the regional tournament in a couple weeks, while the girls fell Tuesday night at Martensdale-St. Mary’s. The Trojans’ girls lost by a final of 61 – 28, while it was the big five for the boys last night that were playing through exhaustion after turning in perhaps one of their better efforts on Monday against Clarke. They won by a final score of 63 – 54, led by Trevor Zoss’ big 27 point explosion, Dylan Lauer had 15 and Josh Luna added 13. The girls fall to 1 – 16, while the boys upped their record to 12 – 3. Both Trojans’ teams have a couple of days of rest ahead of them before playing in back-to-back road contests again on Friday and Saturday, going to Lenox and Chariton, respectively.
