RAGBRAI is coming to Knoxville! The 41st version of the bike ride across Iowa will stop at the sprint car capital of the world in the middle of the 4th week of July. This will be the first time in 13 years that RAGBRAI will have stopped in Knoxville, and the third time overall. Bicyclists also camped out here in 1991 as well as 2000. RAGBRAI generally has a very positive economic impact on locations they stop at and surrounding areas; 10,000 riders are expected to take part in this year’s festivities. After stopping in Knoxville Wednesday night, the route is expected to head north to around Pella before heading back down toward Oskaloosa Thursday night.
