The Marion County Board of Supervisors elected Jim Kingery as their chair and Craig Agan as their vice chair during their first meeting of the year today. The board also voted to change their regular meeting times to the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 9am. Many department heads commented that it would be easier to prepare for the meeting with the extra day. Previously, the meeting was at 8:30am on the second and fourth Mondays.

The Supervisors also took care of some traditional start-of-year business and named Roger Schletzbaum the Weed Commissioner. That vote was 2-1, as Mark Raymie thought the board should consider taking more time to find a better fit.
