After a very busy week on the road, featuring four games in six days, Pleasantville’s basketball teams will play their next three games at home, starting tonight against an I-35 duo that swept the Trojans in Truro over a month ago. Both Trojans’ squads were defeated at the hands of Chariton this past Saturday, and each appeared to be exhausted, as the girls lost 61 – 27 and the boys fell 60 – 39. In their first gathering this season, the Roadrunners held the Trojans to just 30 percent shooting on their way to a 63 – 40 thrashing. After a few days of rest, both Tom Wilkins and Aaron Fichter said they are looking for better all-around efforts from their teams tonight. The Pride of Iowa Conference doubleheader this evening will begin with the girls’ game tipping off at 6:15 p.m.
