Four area wrestlers will start their trek toward the top of the victory podium today at the State Individual Wrestling Meet as Wells Fargo Arena. Knoxville 170 Pounder Aaron Crossett will start his state meet against Izaak Shedenhelm of Denver/Tripoli. The Panthers’ 182 pound wrestler Colton Spaur will take on Jacyn Goebel of West Delaware. Panthers Coach Ron Peterson says his pre match speech for both Crossett and Spaur…who made the state meet for the first time in their careers, will be simple, just wrestle like it is a normal regular season match. Pella also has a wrestler going in the state meet. Chase Petty will take on Chris Walters of Iowa City West in his first round bout in class 3A which starts this afternoon at two. In class 1A Trey Busick of Pleasantville will go against Taylor Lehman Clarion/Goldfield at around nine this morning. The Class 2A bouts will get going tonight at around seven.
