The Marion County Jail passed its annual exam with flying colors last month. That’s according to Jail Administrator Scott Jerkins. Jerkins explains to KNIA/KRLS News that the exam is done by the state and covers a variety of things, such as processing, prisoner treatment, building condition, policies, and procedures. Jerkins says they were in compliance with the state code on all points. He credits the jail staff in passing the inspection, saying they do exceptional work.
