Indianola police have identified that the man killed during a high speed chase. 33-year-old Jeremiah Eldon Johnson was killed in a wreck early Friday morning after he led law enforcement through three counties, including Marion County. Johnson was being sought by authorities after allegedly abducting his son. A juvenile found in the vehicle Johnson was driving was transported to Blank Hospital in Des Moines. No information on his or her condition will be released.

Johnson had a warrant out for his arrest in Georgia for a number of charges, including attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, and cruelty to a child in the second degree. The child in the vehicle was reported as missing/endangered to the Des Moines Police Department in December 2012.
