Drought Means Tight Water Supply for Summer

Drought Conditions have not improved in the county or the state as the drought holds stagnant over winter. All of the state is still in some level of drought intensity, Marion County is in the least severe. More extreme drought conditions persist in the northwest. State officials are warning that many Iowa communities will have to ration water as demand increases over the summer. Those decisions will be made on a local basis.
